Turbocharged engines are being increasingly adopted in the automobile market due to their ability to deliver higher power from smaller engines. These engines use exhaust gases to force more air into the combustion chamber, improving performance while maintaining fuel efficiency.
Škoda Auto has incorporated turbocharged petrol engines across its vehicle lineup. According to a press statement released by the company, its TSI technology combines turbocharging with direct fuel injection to regulate fuel delivery and combustion timing under varying driving conditions.
It added several Škoda models, including the Škoda Octavia, Škoda Superb, Škoda Kodiaq, and Škoda Fabia, which have received 5-star ratings in global crash tests.
The company has launched the Škoda Kylaq in Nepal. The SUV is expected to feature a turbo-petrol engine producing 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque.
According to the company, turbo engines support driving in urban traffic, on highways, and in high-altitude areas by providing consistent performance and fuel efficiency.
