Kathmandu, November 23

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police has urged people to refrain from travelling today unless it is an emergency.

The Traffic Police office in Kathmandu Valley issued this advisory, citing the potential challenges in vehicular movement due to various groups organising rallies and demonstrations at different locations in the Valley on Thursday.

It has also requested to enquire about the situation of the road by making a call at 100 or 103 or listening to Traffic FM 95.5 before going out.

The Traffic Police have requested essential support from all drivers in the valley tomorrow, as they may be required to alter their vehicle routes at various locations for the safety of both drivers and passengers.

Special security measures have been put in place in Kathmandu Valley today as two separate protests are unfolding.
