Tipper hits kill 2 in Morang and 2 others in Kaski

Kathmandu, June 21

Four persons have died in two similar road accidents in Morang of eastern Nepal and Kaski of western Nepal on Sunday evening.

Krishna Bahadur Thapa, 50, a resident of Pakhribas in Dhankuta, and Deepu Sah, a resident of Itahari-4, Sunsari, died when a tipper hit two bikes head-on at Biratchok, Sundar Haraincha municipality-9 of Morang at around 7:45 pm yesterday.

Bhim Bahadur Thapa, 27, a brother of the deceased Krishna Bahadur sustained injuries in the incident and is undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

The deceased Krishna Bahadur is the district secretary of the Nepali Congress party in Dhankuta. Likewise, Sah was an employee of the NMB Bank stationed at its Belbari branch.

In a similar incident, two persons died when a tipper (Province 3-01-003 Ka 5173) hit a motorbike (Ga 20 Pa 6030) head-on at Laxmi Deurali Patthardhunga, Annapurna rural municipality-3 of Kaski yesterday.

One of the victims has been identified as Binod Malla, 32, a resident of Bhuktangle in the Parbat district whereas another man in his mid-40s is yet to be identified, reports Rastriya Samachar Samiti.
