An 8-year-old boy was killed in a tiger attack in Bajura on Sunday, raising concerns about human-wildlife conflict in the region.
The victim, Bijay Rawat from Dhuratola, Khaptad Chededaha Rural Municipality-3, was attacked near a cowshed about two kilometers from his home. According to local authorities, the tiger dragged him nearly 150 meters before leaving his body near a water source.
Villagers and officials have urged wildlife authorities to take immediate action to prevent further attacks. Conservationists stress the need for better monitoring and preventive measures to ensure the safety of residents living near forested areas.
