Baitadi, October 28

Three Nepali migrant workers have been killed in Pithoragadh, India on October 25. However, the news of the incident only came to Nepal on Sunday.

The victims include 36-year-old Hare Bohara and 27-year-old Beera Bohara of Dahatali, Purchaudi municipality-5 and 36-year-old Kashi Bohara of Bhatana Tadikhet of Purchaudi municipality-4 in Baitadi district, Dhan Bahadur Bohara, Deputy Chief of the District Coordination Committee, says.

According to Bohara, it is learnt that all the three were hacked with a sharp weapon. Hare and Beera are brothers. They had been working as daily wage labourers at Silaulmad in Pithoragadh of India for the past 18 months.

Deputy chief Bohara says Hare Bohara’s wife Kirra Bohara’s involvement was suspected in the murder as she is absconding. The bodies of the victims have been kept at the Pithoragadh District Hospital.

Beera had gone to meet his elder brother and sister-in-law in Pithoragadh only some months back and had been working there. It is not yet known who killed the three workers.
