Tanahun, February 18
One person died and seven others were injured in an SUV accident in Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality-2 Narighat, Tanahun.
DSP Mohan Bahadur Khan of the District Police Office, Tanahun, informed that 22-year-old Sagar Gurung of Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-6 of Chitwan.
Gurung was initially injured when the Bolero (Ba16ch 4918), which was going from Dumre to Ambukhaireni, went out of control and overturned on the side of the road. However, he died during treatment at the Chitwan Medical College.
Six of the injured are from Chitwan and one is from Gorkha.
Dambar Bahadur Gurung (22) and Kamal Gurung (24) of Ichchakamana-5 of Chitwan, Rudra Bahadur Chepang (46) and Jit Gurung (18) were injured in the accident.
Similarly, 19-year-old Rupak Gurung of Ichchakamana-6 of Chitwan, Test Bahadur Gurung of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 of Chitwan and 30-year-old Purna Gurung of Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3 of Gorkha were also injured.
Six of the injured are being treated at the Chitwan Medical College, Chitwan while Purna Gurung has returned home after treatment, police said. The police have detained the SUV driver.
