The Supreme Court has decided to hear all writ petitions filed against the government’s decision to dissolve the House of Representatives in the five-member constitutional bench headed by Chief Justice Cholendra Shamser Rana.

Whereas the court had registered 30 petitions against the decision, 19 of them were kept for a preliminary hearing in the single bench of Chief Justice Rana on Thursday. But, Rana decided to forward them to the constitutional bench.

Other 11 including the one filed by 146 members of the dissolved House have been directly forwarded to the constitutional bench.

The bench is expected to begin the hearing on Friday.
