The Supreme Court’s full court meeting, attended by all justices, discussed the justices whose names appeared on Inam Sapkota’s mobile phone.
At the meeting called on Friday, justices raised questions about Sapkota mentioning Chief Justice Dr Manoj Sharma and Justice Hari Phuyal having met him.
In response, Chief Justice Sharma and Justice Phuyal presented their accounts of the matter.
Some justices suggested forming an internal committee within the judiciary to examine the issue, now that details have become public.
However, Supreme Court senior-most Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla is currently on a foreign visit, while Justice Abdul Aziz Musalman is on leave. As a result, the justices agreed to hold another full court meeting on Monday for a more detailed discussion, a Supreme Court justice said.
“We have agreed to convene a full court meeting on Monday, when everyone is present, and discuss the matter in detail,” the justice said.
