Gorkha, April 26
Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara has stressed promoting historic Gorkha Darbar areas as a popular tourist destination.
Mahara also said no delay should be made in reconstruction of the centuries-old infrastructures of the area which were damaged by the Gorkha earthquake four years ago.
The leader of the lower house of Federal Parliament visited the place on Friday morning to observe progress made in the reconstruction works.
He said the structures’ original shape should not be destroyed during the reconstruction process.
Mahara was in the district to take part in an event held in Barpak, the epicentre of the magnitude 7.6 quake, on Thursday.
