Kathmandu, August 18
Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has directed Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Ashika Tamang to maintain parliamentary decorum during Tuesday’s meeting of the House of Representatives.
The Speaker issued the direction after a dispute arose when Tamang sought further clarification from Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, saying she was not satisfied with his response.
During the meeting, Minister Khanal responded to issues raised by Tamang several days ago. Following his response, Tamang expressed dissatisfaction and sought time to ask further questions.
However, Speaker Aryal said no additional time could be provided for questions, citing the provisions of the parliamentary rules.
The disagreement that followed prompted the Speaker to remind Tamang to remain within the decorum of the House.
