Kathmandu, May 28
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced six winners of this year’s Youth Journalism Award.
Khagendra Adhikari of Ujyalo Post daily, Geeta Chimoriya of CIN Nepal, Ganga Khadka of Annapurna Post daily, Niraj Neupane of SDG Studio, Ratna Kumari Chaudhary of Radio Nepal, and Sushma Barali of Himal Media will receive Rs 50,000 each and a certificate, according to the ministry.
The ministry says it will deposit the prize money into bank accounts of the winners whereas a certificate ceremony will be held once the Covid-19 crisis ends in the country.
Earlier in September-October last year, the government had issued a call for applications, twice, for the award.
