Sindhupalchok, January 19
The Sindhupalchok District Administration Office on Sunday issued an order of restriction barring any demonstration in Barhabise market area in Barhabise municipality of the district.
The DAO’s order comes after locals staged a protest against the municipality’s drive of demolishing structures allegedly built on the public land. The local government had begun the campaign on Friday.
The agitating locals on Saturday padlocked and vandalised the municipality office.
SP Prajwal Maharjan at the District Police Office says the restriction will be valid from 8 am to 5 pm today.
