Advocate and columnist Saroj Bhattarai’s new book, Kaleji Prem, Sapana ra Awashesh, is set to be launched on September 19.
Bhattarai’s new work blends legal argument, literary defiance, and unflinching social critique into a single ideological thread. The book goes beyond literature, posing sharp questions about power, politics, society, love, justice, and the unfulfilled dreams of ordinary people.
The book examines the harsh realities hidden behind political slogans, exposing how opportunism, self-interest, and power struggles trample the aspirations of common citizens. It gives voice to those left out of political rhetoric, people with broken dreams, unfinished love stories, and hopes crushed under the weight of power structures.
Drawing on his career arguing legal cases, Bhattarai brings life’s unresolved issues before the “court” of literature, addressing emotions society has condemned, voices power has silenced, characters history has forgotten, and remnants time has left behind.
In the book, love is portrayed not merely as sentiment but as rebellion, resistance, and a final act of courage in preserving human existence within a harsh system.
