A 14-year-old girl has survived gang rape in the Salyan district of Karnali. Police have arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in the case.
The girl from the Kumakh rural municipality-1 of the district was raped by two persons on Wednesday night. The duo had gone to a room at the survivor’s aunt’s house to commit the crime, according to police.
Based on the family’s complaint, Ramesh Bhandari (22) and Dilli Basnet (20), residents of Bheri municipality-12 in the neighbouring Jajarkot district, have been arrested, according to DSP Sumit Khadka of the Salyan District Police Office.
Further investigation is underway.
