Kathmandu, May 23
The Sajha Yatayat has said its 20 buses will ply a new route from Sitapaila of Kathmandu to Surya Binayak of Bhaktapur from Wednesday.
The cooperative had recently received a permit from the Department of Transport Management to operate the service from Sitapaila to Surya Binayak via Kalanki, Kalimati, Tripureshwor, Maitighar, Naya Baneshwor, Koteshwor, Lokanthali, Gaththaghar and Thimi.
Though the cooperative had demanded the permit up to Kamal Binayak, the downtown of Bhaktapur, via Sanothimi, the Department of Transport Management had decided to allow the popular company to go up to Surya Binayak along the Araniko Highway only.
Local transport entrepreneurs of Bhaktapur district had protested application of the Sajha for the operation, citing it would hamper their business.
