RPP announces protest demanding monarchy reinstatement

Kathmandu, December 17

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party has announced various protest programmes demanding the reinstatement of the monarchy in the country.

The party’s decision comes after a series of royalist demonstrations in different parts of the country by various groups. The RPP, although the most recognised political group supporting the monarchy, had not led the demonstrations so far.

As per the party’s central secretariat meeting’s decision, the party would organise motorbike rallies in district headquarters and big cities of all districts from December 27 to January 5. Likewise, demonstrations will be held in district headquarters from December 30 to January 9.

The party says it will begin the second round of protest from the second week of January.
