Kathmandu, January 28
Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering says it is organising a robot competition in which the machines will be commanded to clean street solar panels, in Lalitpur next month.
The Centre for Applied Research and Development under the TU-IoE is hosting IoE ROBOCON 2018 from February 15 to 17 at Army Physical Training and Fitness Centre, Rajdal Battalion, Lagankhel.
“The competition is being organised in league-cum-knockout format,” the organiser says, “In each game of five minutes, the robots from two teams compete to clean the solar panels attached on the poles of the game field and the first robot to clean the panels and light the bulb will achieve “Jhalala” and will be declared the winner.”
Various teams from colleges affiliated to Tribhuvan University, Purbanchal University and Kathmandu University will participate in the competition, according to the organiser.
