Kathmandu, May 19
Ritu Raag, written and directed by debutant Sudip Khatiwada, is currently being staged at Mandala Theatre, Kathmandu.
A musical play thoughtfully created for children and families, Ritu Raag celebrates the sights, sounds, and emotions of Nepal’s six seasons.
According to the makers, the play uses soulful songs, playful storytelling, and the warm bond between a curious young girl and her wise grandfather to gently invite audiences into a world where nature breathes, memories bloom, and every season carries its own melody.
“Designed with care and joy, the play is a tender journey through time, transformation, and our deep connection to the rhythms of the natural world,” says Khatiwada, the director.
Ritu Raag will run through June 1, everyday ( except Mondays ) at 6:30 pm at Mandala Theatre. There will be an additional show on Saturdays at 2:30 pm.
