The government has increased the fares of public transportation. This comes after Nepal Oil Corporation increased the price of petroleum products on Sunday.

The fares for public transport have increased by 5.30 per cent while the fares for freight transport in the hills and the Terai have increased by 6.94 per cent and 7.7 per cent respectively.

Fares for both public transport and freight rates for cargo are directly proportional to the prices of petroleum products.
