Janakpurdham, February 15
Chief Minister of Province 2 Lal Babu Raut has taken his oath of office.
Governor Ratneshwor Lal Kayastha administerd the oath of office and secrecy to Raut at a programme organised on the premises of the Janakpur Cigarette Factory in Janakpur.
Along with Raut, the state’s newly-appointed minister for economic affairs and planning Bijay Yadav and minister for physical infrastructure Jitendra Sonal have also taken their oath. While Raut took the oath in Bhojpuri, Yadav did so in Maithili and Sonal in Hindi.
Forum Nepal Chief Upendra Yadav and RJP leader Mahanta Thakur were also present during the programme. The two parties are allies in the coalition that has taken charge of the government in Province 2.
After the ceremony, Chief Minister Raut said his focus will on five sectors: education, health, irrigation, good governance and transport infrastructure.
