Kathmandu, June 27
Two persons have been arrested on the charge of killing their own fathers in Morang and Khotang districts of Province 1 recently.
In Sunbarsi municipality-4 of Morang, Dayalu Tajpuriya (40) is accused of killing Tin Lal (86) by hitting a stone on him under the influence of alcohol on Saturday morning, informs DSP Manjil Gurung of the District Police Office.
The father was asleep when attacked.
He was rushed to the Koshi Hospital for treatment. The hospital referred the case elsewhere, but the family took him back home citing the lack of money for medication. Consequently, he breathed his last on Sunday morning, Gurung informs.
Likewise, in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality-2 of Khotang, Suwarna Rai (28) killed his father Chandra Kumar with a khukuri. He was on the run since the accident, but police caught him.
Law enforcers in respective districts are looking into the cases.
