Police raided a gold shop in New Road and recovered nearly 8 kilograms of illegal gold.

SSP Somendra Singh Rathore told Onlinekhabar that the team of Kathmandu Valley Crime Division arrested the owner of Padam Prasad Pandey along with 7.8 kilograms of illegal gold on Tuesday night.

The police received information that Pandey was using smuggled gold to craft jewellery for sale. Upon reaching the location, the police team carried out a raid and successfully seized the gold.
