Kathmandu, December 9

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is gradually resuming his regular work after staying for 10 days in hospital. After nearly three weeks, he is chairing the Cabinet meeting for the first time this afternoon.

The government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Baskota, says the meeting has been scheduled for 4 pm this afternoon. The meeting will take place at the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar.

Oli was hospitalised on November 26 and discharged on December 5. While discharging, doctors had suggested that he needed complete rest for around one week.

But, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokharel says the prime minister has seen significant improvements and he has resumed regular works. Oli had recently met Pokharel.

Nevertheless, Oli will be absent in his party’s secretariat meeting today, it has been learned.
