PM Oli gets his biometric national ID card

Kathmandu, July 9

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been presented with the national identity card on Tuesday. The national ID card has biometric details of PM Oli.

At a programme organised at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar, Director General of the Department of National Identity Card and Civil Registration, Deepak Kafle presented the biometric ID card to PM Oli.

On the occasion, biometric ID card was also presented to PM Oli’s spouse Radhika Shakya. The Department on Monday had presented the biometric ID card to Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun.

The government has set a plan to distribute biometric ID card to all its citizens by 2021.
