
Kathmandu, June 15
The death toll in a Saturday night landslide in Kusma, the Parvat district headquarters in western Nepal, has hit nine as of Monday morning.
Whereas three bodies had been recovered on Saturday, six additional bodies have been dug out by security personnel at different times yesterday. Eight of the deceased are said to be members of the same family.
One child, a 13-year-old boy, is still missing, informs the personnel involved in the search.
Police Inspector Buddhi Prasad Subedi says the personnel of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Army are involved in the incident site. He adds, “It is raining now, therefore, the search operation has been affected.”
