The meeting of the parliamentary hearing committee has begun. The committee has met to decide on Jigyan Kumar Thapa, the proposed ambassador to Japan.
The meeting has been under way at Singha Durbar for some time. Proposed Ambassador Thapa also entered Singha Durbar at around 2:15 pm.
His hearing had already been completed, but the decision was put on hold.
Asked why the proposed ambassador had been called, a lawmaker from the Rastriya Swatantra Party said, “It is probably to request him to withdraw.”
