On April 22, Pahalgam, India, a well-known tourist destination, was attacked by terrorists, and 26 people were killed (25 Indian and one Nepali citizen). It is reported that individuals were murdered based on their religion; terrorists killed individuals after inquiring about their religion (killed whoever was Hindu).
India and Pakistan have had a territorial issue since they were divided by the British government, especially through the Radcliffe line, which divided India and Pakistan from British India. Though the territory was divided by the British government, neither of the states was satisfied with the division of the Kashmir area.
Both states have been claiming Kashmir as their own land, but both have their own territory, which are separated by one of the most heavily militarised borders.
Chaos between India and Pakistan
While dividing British India into India and Pakistan, they divided them in a way that India had most of the population, with the Hindu population, while Pakistan had the Muslim population in the majority. Though the dispute was about the territory, it came along with the religious issue.
As per the history of the war or the conflict between the states, it is believed that Pakistan has always triggered the Indian government. Though, Pakistani government has mostly denied the attacks on India.
The Pakistani government has always denied the incident, but it has somehow been proven by the evidence, and India has always claimed that the Pakistani government has supported the so-called non-government body that has created the chaos all around.
In Pakistan, there exist groups of Jash-e-Mohommad and Lashkar-e-Tayyiba, which have been declared as terrorists by different nations like India, the UK, Canada, and so on. The aim of the group is to conquer Kashmir and Jammu, and they are radical Muslims, which makes the conflict also about religion.
The repeated attacks in India are done by the same group, and they have taken responsibility for the terror attacks in India at different period of time. It is believed that the attack on Pahalgam was done by the same group with the help of the government or say the government under the shadow of the group is doing all these terror attacks.
Despite having knowledge about the residence of the Jash-e-Mohommad and Lashkar-e-Tayyiba in Pakistan, who are creating chaos, the state has never taken any action to control the attacks caused by them and their team, though the state has never taken accountability of them.
But it seems clear that they are taking the shadow of the group as they have not taken any action against the group, which has been declared a terrorist organisation by different states, and the one that is creating tension between India and Pakistan.
Blame game amid tension
After the attack on Pahalgam, the Pakistani government had not taken any accountability, but the Indian government held the Pakistani government responsible for the terror attack. As per the Indian news channel and the witness of the attack, the people were killed only after asking about their religion.
As Pakistan had always suppressed Hinduism, and the inhumane treatment given to the Hindu people in Pakistan makes things quite clear, if it were only about the territory, then why would terrorists have asked about the religion?
After the attack and being blamed for the terror attack, the Pakistani government had clearly denied taking accountability and had shown interest in mediation with India rather than starting a war. A ceasefire agreement has been reached between India and Pakistan on May 10.
Earlier, despite the Pakistani government having shown interest in the mediation and proposing an international investigation, India neglected all those efforts and started the Sindoor Operation with the aim of providing justice to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
But was it really Pakistan’s conspiracy on the terror attack on Pahalgam? Or is it just that any other body took advantage of the stress between the states?
This can be used by any of the groups or powers to create the misdirection between the states for their personal benefits. The supply of weapons, the limitation on the border, the export and import of goods and products, the cold war that’s ongoing, the sudden changes on the trading and tariff rate and the changes in government, creating chaos around the world in the name of religion can be some other reasons for creating the tension between the states.
The territory and the religious issue are very fragile between the states, and that is not hidden from the entire world. Also, the response given by the Indian government is obvious, which could have been predicted earlier, and the response given by Pakistan in response to the Sindoor Operation is also predictable.
So, it was an easy way to create tension between the states just by lighting a small flame and taking advantage as per their needs. The statement made by the terrorist while attacking, “Tell it to your Modi,” has created worse conditions and triggered the Indian government, which made the Indian government more aggressive, and they ended up executing the Sindoor Operation, which did not stop after attacking the terrorist infrastructure of Jash-e-Mohommad and Lashkar-e-Tayyiba, who were blamed for the terror attack.
Whoever is behind the terror attack in Pahalgam had knowledge about the upcoming scenario, which would benefit their agenda. If it were the Pakistani government, they would not have risked the lives of their civilians despite knowing the result; they would not have taken such a dumb step.
The war should not have been started, the life of the people matters. Also, different news of India taking control over the drone, plane, and Pakistan taking control over India’s Kashmir is clearly denied by both governments.
The internet is trying its hardest to trigger and inject fear into the civilian’s mind to make the conflict worse. It is also found that the fake social media accounts are posting the fake news in order to trigger the civilians and the government of both the state.
During this dispute, many other states are having economic and political benefits. We can also take the example of Afghanistan’s terror attack and the war between Israel and Palestine. There were non-state actors who created the mess earlier for their personal benefits.
Therefore, despite making more economic loss, civilian loss, by blindly starting the war, the states should have investigated properly before reacting to any actions. This might also be the conspiracy of any other body, either a state or a non-state body.
The benefits that the states, the trade, and the radical Muslim committee are getting are insane, just because of this conflict, which was the main agenda of creating tension between the states.
