Taulihawa, April 1
A person was gunned down in Bidyanagar, Krishnanagar Municipality-10 of Kapilvastu district on Sunday light.
SP Achyuttam Pudasaini confirmed that Paras Puri, 45, a local, was shot dead by an unidentified group.
Puri, who sustained critical chest injury, died in course of the treatment at the Butwal-based State Hospital, police said.
Two unidentified people on a motorbike had opened fire at him nearby his home and fled the scene.
Police took three persons under control for preliminary investigation into the incident.
SP Pudasaini informed that police had intensified security screening along all border checkpoints immediately after the incident.
Puri was engaged in sending youth to overseas employment.
