Kavrepalancho, December 14
One person was killed after being hit by a bus in Kavre. The Araniko Super Express bus, which was traveling from Kathmandu to Sindhuli, struck a pedestrian along the BP Highway.
According to the District Police Office, Kavre, the bus bearing registration number Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 4808 hit a pedestrian at Patlegaun in Namobuddha–2. The victim, identified as 68-year-old local resident Pot Bahadur Katuwal, died on the spot.
Following the incident, residents obstructed the highway in protest. Vehicular movement has been halted along the Kavrebhanjyang–Bhakundebesi section of the BP Highway.
As a result of the obstruction, vehicles heading east via the highway have been stopped at Dhulikhel.
