Four districts still have blocked roads as Rasuwa highway stays shut

Kathmandu, October 6

Several roads across the country remain fully blocked today as well.

Police said roads in Rasuwa, Myagdi, Manang and Nawalparasi East are blocked.

According to police, Rasuwa’s main highway remains completely blocked, and the blockage on the Beni–Jomsom road in Myagdi has not been cleared.

The Khangsar–Besisahar road section in Manang is also fully closed. A flood on the night of September 25 fully cut the road that runs through Besisahar to Khangsar. This road has also not yet been repaired.

In Nawalparasi East, a landslide has reduced the Kaligandaki Corridor road at Janti, Baudikali Rural Municipality-3, to one lane. Large vehicles cannot use this section.

Rasuwa’s highways have been closed since August 25 because of floods, while the Beni–Jomsom road has been blocked by a landslide since September 26. The road at Janti on the Kaligandaki has been one-way since September 30.
