An on-duty policeman died in the Saptari district headquarters, Rajbiraj, on Thursday morning.
Head constable Ram Bahadur Thapa, deployed at the District Police Office, died on the DPO premises while he was on duty, informs the DPO spokesperson DSP Tilak Bharati. The 37-year-old man was a permanent resident of neighbouring Udayapur district.
The police say the exact cause of his death can be ascertained only after postmortem. Earlier, an assistant sub-inspector of Armed Police Dorce had also died in a similar way on Monday.
