Kathmandu, March 16
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inducted 11 more members to his Cabinet. With the Cabinet expansion on Friday afternoon, the number of ministers has reached 22.
While six more members have been added from the UML party, five more Maoist party MPs have become ministers in the Cabinet. Similarly, four ministers of state have also been inducted into the Cabinet.
The new ministers were administered their oath of office and secrecy by Prime Minister Oli amid a function on Friday.
So who are the new ministers?
Pradeep Gyawali: Minister for Foreign Affairs
Gokarna Bista: Minister for Labour and Employment
Rabindra Adhikari: Minister for Tourism
Raghubir Mahaseth: Minister for Physical Infrastructure
Sher Bahadur Tamang: Minister for Law
Jagat Biswokarma: Minister for Youth and Sports
The Maoist leaders who have been sworn in as ministers are:
Barsa Man Pun: Minister for Energy and Water Resources
Giriraj Mani Pokhrel: Minister for Education
Shakti Basnet: Minister for Forests
Chakrapani Khanal: Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives
Bina Magar: Minister for Water Supplies
Lal Babu Pandit: Federal Affairs and General Administration
Gokul Baskota: Minister of State for Communications
Padma Aryal: Minister of State for Health
Dhan Bahadur Budha: Minister of State for Tourism
Ram Kumari Chaudahry: Minister of State for Agriculture
According an agreement between the UML and the Maoist Centre, three more ministers will be inducted into the Cabinet.
