Oli extends Singapore sojourn despite satisfactory checkup reports

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli

Kathmandu, August 11

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended his ‘medical trip’ to Singapore by one day.

He was scheduled to return home on Sunday. But, the prime minister’s secretariat says Oli will land at Kathmandu airport on Monday afternoon only via a Thai Airlines flight. The secretariat says the sojourn was extended as the team could not collect all medical reports on time.

However, it has been learned that his reports are satisfactory. Oli’s chief political advisor Bishnu Rimal informs that the prime minister was not admitted to any hospital, but he visited doctors for consultation regularly.

Meanwhile, Rimal dismissed some media reports that Oli was in Singapore to prepare for a kidney re-transplantation.
