Oli, Dahal hold meeting again as unification bid gains momentum

Just a day after a meeting of their Party Unification Coordination Committee, the CPN-Maoist Centre  Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal held a meeting with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli to give a momentum to the proposed unification between two parties.

Dahal went to Oli’s private residence in Balkot of Bhaktapur this morning as a joint task force the parties set up for preparations for National Assembly elections and provincial government formation process is scheduled to hold a meeting there.

Oli’s press coordination Chetan Adhikari told Onlinekhabar before the meeting that the two top leaders would give instructions to the task force members.

The Coordination Committee on Tuesday had formed the task force including UML’s Subas Chandra Nembang, Shankar Pokharel and Surendra Pandey; and Maoist Centre’s Ram Bahadur Thapa, Barsha Man Pun and Matrika Yadav as members.

Meanwhile, Oli is scheduled to leave for Bangkok of Thailand this noon on a scheduled medical trip.
