Kathmandu, December 3
The central bank is preparing to publicise the quarterly review of the monetary policy for the first quarter of the current fiscal year (mid-July to mid-October) within a few days.
An official in the Nepal Rastra Bank says stakeholders have already been consulted about the review. “We have also tried to incorporate their feeback as much as possible.”
The NRB’s regulation department has already sent the policy’s draft to the governor incorporating the feedback. Now, it is awaiting an endorsement from the NRB Board of Directors. It is not certain when the meeting will take place.
It has been learned that the review will not introduce any substantial change in the annual policy.
