Newly appointed Inspector General of Nepal Police, Sarbendra Khanal, has warned his officials against their unlawful assistance to and protection of gangsters at various levels.
Five days after his promotion to the top position, Khanal invited officials working at various units of Kathmandu Valley at Nepal Police Club in Bhrikutimandap today and directed them to serve people honestly.
He warned that those failing to perform their duties and indulging in unprofessional acts would be booked.
He was of the view that integrity was a must to improve the image of police organisation in the country.
