Kathmandu, September 23
Newly appointed Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Managing Director Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha has taken the oath of office and secrecy.
Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha administered the oath to the newly appointed managing director at the ministry on Wednesday morning.
On the occasion, Minister Shrestha directed the managing director to work with integrity by establishing a systematic working mechanism. He also advised him to maintain close coordination with various agencies under the ministry.
The minister thanked Shrestha for his successful performance as acting managing director during the challenging period following the Bhotekoshi floods.
A Cabinet meeting held on September 18 appointed Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha as the managing director of the Nepal Electricity Authority.
