NEPSE fell though increase in share prices

On the first trading day of New Year 2081 BS, the stock market fell by a few points. NEPSE has decreased by 2.35 points and stands at 2023 points. A total of Rs 3.6 billion worth of business was done. However, the share price of most of the companies has increased.

While the price of 127 companies increased, 108 companies decreased while 10 remained stable. NEPSE decreased because the capitalisation amount of companies that decreased was higher than those that increased.

The microfinance sector increased by 1.9 and the finance group by one per cent. Hydropower increased by 0.39 per cent and business group by 0.50 per cent. The non-life insurance group fell the most by one per cent. Similarly, others decreased by 0.41, production by 0.44, life insurance by 0.70, investment by 0.82, hotel and tourism by 0.31, development bank by 0.41 and banking group by 0.32 per cent.

The price of creative microfinance increased by 10 per cent. Likewise, NIC Asia Microfinance increased by 9.72 per cent, Dolti Power by 9.35 per cent, Rapti Hydro by 9.23per cent, Mithila Microfinance by 8.7 per cent, Kalika Microfinance by 8.12 per cent, Manakamana Smart Microfinance by 7.9 per cent and Sabaiko Laghubitta by 7.7per cent.
