A man from Kailali has died in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Bharat Shah, of Tikapur Municipality, who was part of the Russian Army, died in the war. The Shah family was informed about Bharat’s death a few days ago.

The family made a body out of Kush Grass and cremated Bharat’s body on Sunday.

Bharat reportedly died on November 26, said his older brother Birkha. The information was passed on by Roshan Thapa, who joined the Russian Army with Bharat.

“Bharat was shot dead. That is what Thapa told his wife,” said Birkha.

Bharat, who went to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on August 15, is a former police officer. He was working as a security guard in Dubai and left for Russia from the UAE.

Bharat is survived by his wife, daughter and a son.
