Nepali Congress: New spokesperson says agendas, not young age, will lead the party

Nepali Congress spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma speaks with journalists, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

Kathmandu, January 10

Newly appointed spokesperson of the Nepali Congress, Bishwa Prakash Sharma says those who have agendas will lead his party notwithstanding their age.

Whereas a group of youth leaders including himself were raising the issue of leadership handover in the party following its historic debacle in recent parliamentary polls, Sharma, after being appointed the party’s official, says agenda is more important than the age.

“Whoever change themselves will lead the party.”

Organising a press meet a day after his appointment, Sharma also informs that the party will hold its Central Working Committee meeting very soon.

He claimed the party was rattled by the earthquake of recent polls and it was preparing for a reconstruction.
