Nepal, Yemen share points after goalless draw

Kathmandu, June 13

Nepal and Yemen have shared a point each as their second match of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, Group F, ended in the goalless draw on Tuesday.

Both the teams could not score despite making several opportunities for the goal during the match played at the APF Ground in Swayambhu of Kathmandu.

After the results today, Yemen top the Group F chart with four points earned from a win against Tajikistan and the draw with Nepal. Nepal, who were beaten 4-1 by the Philippines, are at the third position with a point.

The Philippines are at the second position with 3 points they earned from Nepal’s defeat. Tajikistan are at the bottom without any mark.

Top two teams qualify for the Asian Cup, 2019.

Nepal will take on Tajikistan at home in September, travel to Tajikistan in October, host the Philippines in November and play against Yemen in Qatar in March 2018.
