Nineteen-year-old, leftarm orthodox spinner, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi has made his international debut for Nepal as the side play Zimbabwe in their first match of World Cup Qualifiers in Bulawayo.
Rajbansi was handed the national team’s cap by batting coach Umesh Patwal. During the warm-up match against the UAE ahead of the tournament, Rajbansi had claimed two wickets, conceding 30 runs.
Rajbansi had caught the eye of the selectors following his performance in the 2017 Everest Premier League. The young spinner played for Lalitpur Patriots. He picked up seven wickets in as many matches.
