Kathmandu, August 9
All services provided by Nepal Telecom have been disrupted in three districts of State-1.
Namaste mobile, landline telephone and ADSL services of Nepal Telecom have been obstructed in Khotang, Okhaldhunga and Solukhumbu districts since 00.00 hrs o on Wednesday.
Khagendra Magar, chief of Nepal Telecom Khotang, informed that the services were disrupted following a wind storm that dislodged the umbrella of radio link installed at Chitrethan of Udayapur.
“The wind storm has bent the umbrella which was linked to the tower based in Rajbiraj. It caused disruption of telecom services,” he added. “Though technicians have already reached the Chitre Tower for maintenance, it has yet to start since the wind storm is still continuing.”
Owing to the disruption, the consumers in the three districts have been compelled to use Ncell. This has also affected the operatio0n of media houses, banks and financial institutions in the three districts.
