Kathmandu, January 4
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the squad for the Nepali women’s national cricket team ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 Global Qualifier, scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from January 12 to February 1.
The 15-member squad includes Manisha Upadhyay, Indu Barma (Captain), Pooja Mahato (Vice-Captain), Rubina Chhetri, Sita Rana Magar, Bindu Rawal, Samjhana Khadka, Kajal Shrestha, Kabita Joshi, Kabita Kunwar, Rachana Chaudhary, Riya Sharma, Roma Thapa, Suman Bista and Rajmati Airee.
Hosts Nepal have been placed in Group B. The tournament will feature 10 teams.
Group A includes Bangladesh, Ireland, Namibia, Papua New Guinea and the United States. Group B comprises Nepal, Scotland, Thailand, the Netherlands and Zimbabwe.
