Kathmandu, October 26
Nepal Police has transferred DIG Devendra Subedi to Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
A month ago, NP had brought DIG Hemanta Malla to its headquarters from the CIAA, leaving the CIAA position vacant.
The Ministry of Home had made a decision to trasnser Subedi to the constitutional anti-corruption agency based on the recommendation of Nepal Police.
DIG Subedi is considered close to Nepal Police IG Upendra Kanta Aryal. Subedi has already worked at the Bureau of Narcotics Control, Metropolitan Police Crime Division and as chief of Nepal Police’s Central Regional chief.
DIG Malla had returned to NP headquarters after differences with CIAA Chief Commissioner Lokman Singh Karki. Malla is currently working as NP Spokesperson.
