
Kathmandu, October 14
Nepal Police chief, Inspector General Sarbendra Khanal, has left Kathmandu to attend the 88th general assembly of International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol). The assembly is beginning on Tuesday.
Senior police officials saw off Khanal at the Tribhuvan International Airport last night. Khanal’s delegation includes Central Investigation Bureau chief, DIG Niraj Bahadur Shahi, and Interpol section chief SSP Umesh Raj Joshi.
In Khanal’s absence, AIG Pushkar Karki will take charge of the office of the police chief, according to Nepal Police.
The assembly will conclude on Friday.
