Kathmandu, May 27
The Parliament issued a ruling on Friday, telling the government to inform it about losses resulting from natural disasters like flooding and landslides and measures taken to control such disasters.
At Friday’s meeting of the House, lawmakers called the government to inform about losses resulting from fire, flooding, landslides and other natural disasters, and disaster preparedness. Subsequently, Speaker Onsari Gharti issued a ruling to the government to inform the Parliament’s next meeting about the losses resulting from natural disasters, rescue efforts and distribution of relief to the victims.
The lawmakers had spoken about the loss of lives and property resulting from recent spate of natural disasters and incidents of fire.
