Kathmandu, March 27

The Election Commission has urged national and international organisations and individuals to register themselves with the commission if they want to observe the Nepal local elections scheduled for May 13 this year.

The interested organisations and individuals can file applications for the registration within the next 15 days by submitting organisational/individual details, evidence of expertise and competence and records of previous election observation and monitoring experiences if applicable.

Organisations and individuals cannot participate in election observation activities if they are not registered with the constitutional body.

Meanwhile, the commission also appointed election officers for all 753 local units for the Nepal local elections, on Sunday.
