Kathmandu, July 29
Members of the Nepal national cricket team are returning home on Monday night after a disappointing performance in the regional qualifier for the T20 World Cup in Singapore.
The team are scheduled to land at the Kathmandu airport via a Malaysian Airlines flight at 10:30 pm today.
Nepal had hoped to qualify for the global qualifiers by scoring the highest points in the regional qualifier. However, after a humiliating defeat at the hands of hosts Singapore on Sunday, they were restricted to the third position.
Meanwhile, the team will not have two key young players when they will be returning home tonight. Sandeep Lamichhane and Sompal Kami left for Canada for the Canada Global T20 Tournament.
