Nepal Covid-19 tally hits 14,519

Kathmandu, July 2

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 14,519 as of Thursday afternoon.

In his daily press briefing in Kathmandu, the ministry’s spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam said 473 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. In total, 4,537 swab samples were tested in this period. Nepal has tested 237,764 people for coronavirus so far.

Of the new cases confirmed today, 30 are from Kathmandu.

Of the total cases so far, 5,320 people have achieved recovery whereas 31 died, according to him. In the past 24 hours, 664 people have been discharged.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country.

In various parts of the country, over 38,000 have been quarantined waiting to be tested.
